sovara covers Jira and Confluence in one platform. XWiki and Phonemos are wiki-only; OpenProject, YouTrack and easy8 are work-management-first with a lighter wiki. Only sovara and Atlassian span both domains — and only sovara does it on your terms.
Sovereign while Atlassian leaves on-prem
Atlassian Data Center reaches end-of-life on 28 March 2029 (no new subscriptions from 30 March 2026). Cloud is SaaS-only with managed — not sovereign — data residency. sovara runs as SaaS, private cloud, or fully on-prem in EU/sovereign data centres.
AI-native, with your own model
sovara ships native AI agents and bring-your-own-LLM (self-hosted), so data never leaves your environment. Atlassian DC has no native AI at all — its only AI route uploads your data to Atlassian's cloud — and Cloud's Rovo offers no BYO-LLM.

"No native AI." The only path is the Rovo connector, which syncs your data up to Atlassian's cloud and needs a Cloud plan — breaking the sovereignty DC was chosen for.

"SaaS only — no self-host." Data residency is managed single-region on AWS, with user, AI, DevOps and audit data out of scope of pinning.
SSO, SCIM and org audit logs are gated behind the paid Atlassian Guard add-on; Rovo AI offers "no bring-your-own / self-hosted model".
